Low Voltage Solutions Shangwe E-Infrastructure designs and installs low-voltage networks for critical infrastructures such data centres.
This network may include the integration and scaling of grid power supply, solar power, battery energy storage systems and other renewables such hydrogen powered fuel cells and legacy power generators such as diesel generators.
Our Low voltage (LV) installation standards ensure safety and performance, guided internationally by IEC 60364 for fundamentals South Africa’s SANS 10142.
Data Centre/ Telecommunication Towers We do structured network cabling services design, install, and manage organized cable systems (like Cat6, Fiber) for voice, data, video, and security, forming the reliable backbone for modern IT, ensuring future-proof scalability, less downtime, easier maintenance, and supporting high-speed connectivity for all devices. These services involve meticulous planning, standardized installation, labeling, testing, and documentation, creating flexible, high-performance infrastructure.
Data Centre (HVAC) Cooling Our Heat, Ventilation and Cooling Systems (HVAC) comprise of ducted (using air ducts like central ACs, furnaces, heat pumps) or ductless (like mini-splits for zoned control). Key types include Split Systems (indoor/outdoor units), Packaged Systems (all-in-one outdoor cabinet), Hybrid Systems (combining heat pump & furnace), and Ductless Mini-Splits for efficient, zone-specific comfort, with advanced options like Geothermal and VRF Systems offering high efficiency for larger needs. (under HVAC).
Our HVAC installation adhere to ASHRAE 90.1/IECC/SANS (South Africa)
Data Centre Power Systems Data centres are critical infrastructures that process massive information and drive commerce in our digital age. The availability of continuous power for such infrastructure is equally critical – we empower a continuous data flow.
Shangwe E-Infrastructure will design and install sustainable power generation systems and where required integrate them to legacy power infrastructure. Our competences encompasses the Solar, Wind and BESS as site power generators or wheeled through the Grid.
Off-Grid GSM Tower Infrastructure Installation The installation of remote telecommunications tower will always require specialised structured cabling and continuous power supplies. Diesel generators are an expensive option due to logistics and pilferage. Shangwe provides hybrid power systems in form of wind, solar and generators as the last source in this matrix.)
Industrial Plants Robotic Inspections Our Industrial infrastructure robotic inspections use autonomous or remote-controlled robots with sensors (cameras, LiDAR, thermal, gas) to safely and efficiently monitor assets like pipelines, power plants, bridges, and tanks, collecting detailed data for early fault detection, reducing human risk in hazardous areas, and creating digital twins for proactive maintenance.
These systems navigate complex environments, identify defects like cracks or corrosion, and stream data for analysis, shifting maintenance from reactive to predictive across energy, manufacturing, and construction sectors.
Water desalination Nuclear energy plants are attractive energy source for large desalination plants.
Industrial scale water desalination requires huge amounts of power and the best source of power for these plants is nuclear. Nuclear power is more attractive to this application because of its proven continuous supply
The other attractiveness of nuclear power is that its thermal energy produced can provide both electricity and steam to desalt water without the production of greenhouse gases. A particularly attractive option is to couple a desalination plant with the new generation of nuclear plant designs: small modular reactors (SMR).
Our plant design is especially well suited for the co-generation of electricity and desalted water. Parametric studies have been performed to evaluate technical options for coupling our plant to a variety of different desalination technologies.
Our plants are capable of providing sufficient carbon-free electricity and clean water to support a city of 300,000 people.
